December Break Recap

By Ms. Paoli di Prisco

While most boarders left campus to spend the holidays with family, 23 boarding students stayed on campus. From December 22–27, they stayed at the fabulous Fairmont Chateau Montebello where they enjoyed gourmet food, daily treats and a whole host of activities including curling, skating, swimming, board games, ping-pong (table tennis), indoor tennis, tobogganing, a bonfire, and a ride on a horse-drawn sleigh! After returning to campus they relaxed and had opportunities to skate, learn to cross-country ski, enjoy a virtual Paint Night and online Bingo. New Year’s Eve was celebrated with in house games and activities. Throughout the break, gourmet meals were provided right in the residence so that students could really feel at home for the entire holiday. Special thanks to Mr. Lavergne for all of the planning, the staff for giving up time with their own families to be with the boarders, and to Mr. Southward for ensuring that this was a special and memorable holiday for so many.
