Kate Lane

We were very excited to welcome (most) students back to campus this week! The students were very excited to be back and happy to welcome new boarders to the Gillin Residence family.

I am writing this email to introduce myself.  As the Head of Gillin, I will be your main point of contact for communication and questions regarding the boarding program. I will be in contact with you for any pertinent updates on your child(ren), and their success at Ashbury. I will also be in contact should we need additional permissions for weekend/evening programing or off-campus events.

At this time, you should have received an email from Orah, the boarding program that we use to track students as well as provide permission for trips and long weekends. All students will need to submit leave requests and have parent permission completed before all long weekends and any overnight visits with friends or family. Please see attached a sample of an email you may see that will require your approval.  If you have not yet received an email asking you to set up an account with Orah, please let me know and I will look into this for you. Please check your junk mail as well as your spam filters may have sent it to that folder.

Here is the link for the parent guide should you need any additional information:

During evenings and weekends, one of the members of the Gillin Team will have the boarding cell phone on them at all times.  The Gillin Phone number and other contacts will be shared with you by email.

All of the members of our team bring their own unique experiences and expertise and we are excited for a wonderful school year ahead.

I look forward to speaking with many of you soon and feel free to reach out at anytime should you have any questions.
