On Sunday night we had our first full Gillin and Maple meeting since the March Break and enjoyed being back in each other’s company. The mood felt cheery and light, as everyone eases back into the spring term and celebrated all the March birthdays.  Another highlight of this week was seeing our very own, Alice, entertaining the full school at an impromptu musical event over the lunch hour. Please enjoy this short clip!

While this was a quieter week, the Senior students highlighted the many activities to look forward to in the coming months: biking around Ottawa during the Tulip Festival, visiting museums, go-carting, indoor rock climbing, and shopping freely in the ByWard Market and malls, to name a few. The general easing of COVID-restrictions in the city, and eventually in residence, should make for a much improved experience for our boarding students this spring!

While March Break is barely behind us, our April long weekend is now just a week away! For many, it will be a special Easter celebration and, for others, an opportunity to visit a new Canadian city, study for IB exams, or spend some down-time with friends. Thank you to all the students, parents, and hosts who helped to ensure these leave-requests/plans were submitted quickly this past Wednesday.
