This Week in Matthews

Mr. Brian Storosko
Despite classes ending and having the feeling of summer upon us, some of our boys have been able to remain very busy. This past week, in the warm weather, we have had water gun fights, water hose squirting, and an amazing slip’n slide on the small hill beside the Gillin residence.

Although many COVID restrictions are still in place, we were able to have a “distanced”  movie night in the Matthews courtyard.

This past week was Ashbury Learns, and we have had students work hard to clean up the shores of the Ottawa River. We also biked to Parliament Hill to pay tribute and talk about the problems generated by Canada’s Indigenous Residential School system. We then stopped in front of the Canadian Centre for Pluralism and posed for a photo under the giant spider outside the National Gallery of Canada.
