This Week in Matthews

Mr. Brian Storosko
The final week of classes has now come and gone and we can say the academic pressure has waned for the boys in Matthews House.

Last week, the boys had an amazing weekend in residence with a combination of optional and a few mandatory activities. On Friday night, all Grade 9 and 10 students attended a paint night run online by some of the Arts Council. The colourful creations now grace our kitchen.

On Saturday, a group went for a neighbourhood walk and learned about some of the high tech entrepreneurs who live in the neighbourhood. They also had a campus-wide game of capture the flag. On Sunday, a few of the boys hit the kitchen for the most basic cooking creations possible: Rice Krispie squares and nachos!

The weather has been beautiful and warm and the students got to hang around outside the residences and on the fields.

We are restricted to mostly online events in the week ahead, but we will still have a bike ride outing Tuesday and a river walk and cleanup on Thursday.
