Highlights of the Week, including Holiday Dinner

With the holidays approaching, the rush of excitement for a well-deserved break and stress from final assignments rushed around the residences. On Monday, the Boarding Council hosted a semi-formal boarding Holiday Dinner which all the boarders seem to have enjoyed. It was a night of virtual performances, delicious food, and camaraderie. Earlier, the Ashbury Guild and many generous parents had thoughtfully supplied the boarders with a box of goodies and the boarders were ecstatic. Not only were the boarders provided with some fun activities, but they were also given opportunities to reach out and provide academic support. The 11th and 12th graders have really taken on a role to support the 9th and 10th graders with healthy study habits, academic support, and engaging with them socially to make them feel as welcome as possible. As we head into the new year, the boarding community is very excited to welcome many more boarders with “socially-distanced open arms” to our Boarding Family.
