In with the new, out with the old… as Grade 12 students are at the tail end of their application season, I slowly begin to turn my attention to the Grade 11 students.  

Deadline:
Students are reminded to check for individual university and supplementary deadlines. Below are a few reminders:  

UCAS – Applications continue to be sent to UK universities through our UCAS portal. Final applications must be submitted to Ashbury no later than Monday, January 24 at 9:00am in order to meet the final deadline for UCAS on Wednesday January 26.  

University of Victoria – January 31 
Simon Fraser University – January 31 
McGill University – February 1  
Rotman Commerce Supplementary Deadline – February 1 
Queen’s Commerce Supplementary Deadline – February 15 

Required Documents:
Should a student require documents as requested by the university, the student is to email Ms. Johnston explaining what document is required and for which university & program. A screenshot of the request is also helpful to ensure the correct document is created and sent.

Grade 11 Student Course Selection Presentation:

There will be a presentation for Grade 11 students and parents regarding our Grade 12 Academic program and Course Selections. The presentation will be held on Thursday evening at 7:00pm. Registration details have been provided in the Weekly. It is important that all Grade 11 students and parents attend that meeting to learn more about the process and about picking the right combination of courses to prepare students for their final year of high school and for university programs.
