It has been a great week in Matthews House with many students coming out of quarantine for the first time in 14 days. A buddy system has been set up so that those who are new to Ashbury can reach out for additional support when needed. Of course patience is required as it does take a week or two to find one’s way through the maze of hallways at the school.

Earlier in the week we ran an important House meeting to discuss routines, rules and behaviour. We did talk about about smart decision making and educated the students about legal and illegal procedures in Canada, especially related to banned and unhealthy substances. Academically, the students have been busy onboarding with their studies and using the new iPads as extraordinary educational tools.
