Dear Ashbury Students and Parents, Chers élèves et parents,
Today the Ontario government announced that schools will remain closed until at least May 4 in an effort to flatten the COVID-19 curve. Ashbury will continue to offer its distance learning programs until such time as our campus is able to re-open for face-to-face learning.
Although there remains ongoing uncertainty about when we will return to campus learning, we are committed to each student’s academic development within our nurturing community. We are pleased to be able to offer our students some sense of normality through the continuation of our learning programs and the chance to connect with their classmates and teachers, albeit in a virtual way.
While the school and campus are closed, our priority remains student and community well-being and program continuity. There may be questions going forward related to certain costs that are not being incurred, such as food and transportation. Over the course of the next month, our finance department will begin the process of addressing services, such as our meal plan and bus program, with affected day and boarding families.
We remain appreciative of our community’s flexibility and understanding at this extraordinary time. To all, stay healthy and stay safe.
Probitas, Virtus, Comitas,
Norman Southward
